IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE CENSUS OF AGRICULTURE JUNE 1991

The 1991 Census of Agriculture was conducted using a completely new methodology. The new methodology means that some of the results are not fully comparable with those obtained using former systems. This must be borne in mind when selected data from the 1991 Census are shown in this booklet alongside data on the same items for other years. Revisions for earlier years made to date by the CSO have been included in this edition of "Irish Agriculture in Figures".
